The Ministry of Economy ordered the reestablishment of the Argentine Productive Strengthening program - Avian Sector, as a result of the impact that the increase in the price of corn had on activity, due to the continuity of the differentiated price of the dollar within the framework of the Increase Program Exporter (PEI). The measure was established by resolution 1609/2023, published this Monday in the Official Gazette, which also specifies that the resources to finance the reissue of the program will come from the PEI itself, based on the broiler chickens sent to slaughter. between July 25 and August 31. Financing for the restoration of the program will allocate up to $3.2 billion, depending on budget availability. The components of the determination of the planned benefit will be established following a series of criteria, such as an average production (PPP) equivalent to one tenth of the total heads of slaughtered broiler chickens, sent by the beneficiary, since July 1, 2022 until June 30, 2023 inclusive. The determination of the total number of slaughtered heads will be taken from the records of the Integrated Agri-Food Safety and Quality Management System (Sigica-SIF) of the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa). The Chicken Corn Input Coefficient (CMP) will be 3.8 kilos per slaughtered head, corresponding to the technical data derived from the amount of corn necessary for this purpose. From the multiplication of the PPP by the CMP, the Corn Base Index (BM) will emerge, expressed in tons, which will be taken as a reference to set the amount of the benefit, in turn resulting from the multiplication of BM by 10,000. In resolution 100 of February 7, 2023, which established the first version of the Avian Sector Strengthening program, the PPP was the result of one twelfth of the total slaughtered heads of broiler chickens sent since October 1, 2021 until September 30, 2022. For its part, the Soybean Input Coefficient (CSI) had then been set at 1,091 kilos per head, while the multiplication of both variables led to the result of the Base Soybean (SB).
